Day 1 March 9--Departure Depart from Austin on Lufthansa #469 at 4:25 p.m.to Frankfurt

Day 2 March 10-- Arrival Land in Frankfurt at 9:20 a.m. Continue on Lufthansa#694, landing at Ben Gurion Airport at 7:10 p.m. Meet guide and driver; continue to Tel Aviv; check in to hotel followed by dinner. After dinner, review the itinerary with the group leaderand guide and meet everyone in the group. Overnight: Tell Aviv (D)

Day 3 March 11 -- Jaffa, Caesarea & Haifa After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Go on a shortwalking tour of the ancient seaport of Jaffa. See entrance to the house of Simon the Tanner. Hear a story of Jonah and the whale. Visit St Peter’s Church; opportunity for service & Mass.Continue to Caesarea National Park; tour park, with archaeological ruins spanning over 2000 yearsincluding an impressive Roman theater and beautifully preserved aqueduct. Drive to Haifa. Afterfalafel lunch on your own in Christian Arab neighborhood of Wadi Nisnas, visit Bahai Gardens andStella Maris (Monastery of Our Lady of MT Carmel). Drive to Tiberias and check in to the hotel, followed by dinner. Overnight: Tiberias (B/D)

Day 4 March 12 -- Around the Sea of Galilee Visit Capernaum, Jesus’ base during his ministry in the north. Then, go on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Tabaha, traditional site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes and the Primacy of St Peter, where Jesus appeared to the apostles and miracle of the fishes. Enjoy St Peter’s fish lunch at a restaurant on the shore of Sea of Galilee. Drive to Mt of Beatitudes, traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount; celebrate Mass. Visit the Magdala Project, an excavation site of a first-century Jewish fishing village where a synagogue from the time of Jesus has been discovered. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight: Tiberias (B/L/D)

Day 5 March 13 -- Mt Tabor, Cana, Nazareth & Jerusalem After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Mt Tabor, site of the Transfiguration. Continue to Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle, changing water to wine at the wedding feast. Celebrate Mass here and couples will have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows. Then, drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation; opportunity for Mass. Enjoy lunch on won in Nazareth. Drive to Jerusalem, stopping at the Haas Promenade in southern Jerusalem for a spectacular panoramic view of Old and New Jerusalem. Check into the hotel. After dinner, gather together to discuss the day. Overnight: Jerusalem (B/D)

Day 6 March 14 -- Jerusalem After early breakfast, drive to Mt of Olives for a panoramic view of Old & New Jerusalem. Walk down mount to Garden of Gethsemane; learning in garden. Enter Old City via Lions Gate. Visit St Anne’s Church and Pools of Bethesda. Walk Along Via Dolorosa concluding at Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Mass will be celebrated. Lunch and free time on your own in Christian Quarter. Walk through Old City to the room of the Last Supper on Mt Zion. Conclude day at Church of St Peter in Gallicantu. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight: Jerusalem (B/D)

Day 7 March 15 -- Bethlehem & Jerusalem After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Israel Museum including the scale model of Second Temple period Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book, housing the Dead Sea scrolls found in Qumran. Then, drive to Bethlehem. Visit Shepherds’ Field and Church of the Nativity; celebrate Mass. Lunch in a restaurant in Bethlehem followed by an opportunity to shop. Return to the hotel. Just before dusk, drive to Old City to watch as Jews welcome the Sabbath at the Kotel (the Western Wall). Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight: Jerusalem (B/L/D)

Day 8 March 16 -- The Dead Sea After breakfast, drive to Qasr el Yahud, the traditional site where Jesus was baptized. Celebrate Mass. Then, drive past Jericho and Mt of Temptation to Masada; ascend by cable car and tour site; learn about the Zealots’ last stand in 73 A.D. Descend by cable car. Lunch on your own at a cafeteria-style restaurant at the base of Masada. Drive to Qumran, where Dead Sea scrolls were discovered; tour site. Continue to the beach for an opportunity to float/swim in the Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight: Jerusalem (B/D)

Day 9 March 17 -- Yad Vashem & Jordan After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and Memorial; visit the Path of the Righteous, historical museum and Children’s Memorial. Lunch in Yad Vashem cafeteria. Drive to Allenby Bridge and cross into Jordan. Visit Mt Nebo, traditional site where Moses looked into the Promised Land, and the church at Madaba with its 6thcentury. AD mosaic map of the Middle East. Lunch in Madaba. Continue to Petra and check in to the hotel. Overnight: Petra (B/L/D)

Day 10 March 18 -- Petra, Wadi Musa & Amman After breakfast, tour Petra and Wadi Musa. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon drive to Amman and check into the hotel followed by dinner at the hotel. Overnight: Amman (B/L/D)

Day 11 March 19 -- Amman & Jerash After breakfast, go on a bus tour of Amman, including the Amman Citadel and Roman theater. Continue to Jerash with its well preserved ruins dating back over 2,000 years. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Amman (B/D)

Day 12 March 20 -- Cairo After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Cairo. Easy bus tour and get settled at the hotel. Overnight: Cairo (B/D)

Day 13 March 21 -- Cairo After breakfast, tour Giza and Egyptian Museum. Overnight: Cairo (B/D)
